Jay Brecker
LONELINESS IS NIGHT ITSELF ARTICULATING
into a trapdoor of owl wings
the tick of mute moths
gestures of distance
white bones of the unimagined
as thorny as an empty room
the anonymity of dandruff
the small degrees of protracted light
folds of the sky
the geometry of evasive movement
Jay Brecker works and writes in southern California. His poems have recently appeared in South 85 Journal, I-70 Review, RHINO Poetry, New Mexico Review, OVS Magazine, and elsewhere. His manuscript, A Case of Mad Love, was a semi-finalist in the Trio House Press open reading, 2015.
