Ed Coletti

FLOATING

bruised & supine                 aboard a skiff with no oars

tearfully unafraid                 or just barely afraid

stars emerging                      provide some direction

bumping                              occasionally

into riverwood                     reminding me

I have a body                       drifting hurting

among                                 emerging stars

pointing the way   or at least providing this place

this vague guide                   this astrology

where I am                           where I seem

to be heading                       through a soundless night
