Adam Day

Aubade

                  After Simone Muench

Your fingers in my mouth
after slowly approaching

in the small hours
when tenderness seems

like a good sleep. Place
a word in a hollow

where a hare could hide.
Alone together, ghostly

silhouettes accumulating
into a single body. It is

the human that is alien.
Still, I pass through you

as you pass through me.
