I meet

with glittering prayer flags
in my eyes

moving from arithmetic
to disembodied

and moments of relief
it's only
a dream

or just me again
waking or sleeping

I saw that white flag
so I'll surrender again

Malene Lotz was a modern ballet dancer living and teaching movement in New York. She is Danish, currently living in Denmark north of Copenhagen, and is transforming into a poet.
